I am a qualified Social Worker with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work, bringing 15 years of post-qualification experience across statutory and professional practice settings. My work is grounded in strong clinical expertise, reflective practice, and a deep commitment to high-quality social work education.
I am an experienced practice educator and clinical supervisor, holding a Level 3 Practice Teaching and Educator Certificate, and I have extensive experience supporting social work students and newly qualified practitioners. I particularly enjoy developing others—helping students and professionals build confidence, competence, and critical thinking in their practice.
I am passionate about education, skills development, and bridging the gap between theory and practice. My approach is supportive, reflective, and challenging, ensuring learners feel empowered while maintaining high professional standards.
I am equally committed to working collaboratively with organisations, offering clinical skills training, supervision, and practice education that strengthens workforce development and improves outcomes for individuals, families, and communities. I am a professional nurse with over 22 years of experience in the NHS, working across a variety of specialities including Specialist Medicines, Renal Services, Acute Medical Unit, Professional Education and Development, and Corporate Services. I have also worked in the charity sector and palliative care, which has enriched my understanding of compassionate, patient-centred care.
Alongside a Diploma in Nursing, Degree in Contemporary Health, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and Teaching, I bring both strong clinical expertise and a passion for teaching and mentoring. Over the years, I have developed a wide range of clinical skills and enjoy sharing my knowledge with others to help them grow in confidence and competence.
I am passionate about caring, teaching, and supporting others—whether that’s developing clinical skills, building confidence, or encouraging professional growth. My goal is to inspire and equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to deliver excellent patient care.
